Job Description
The Retail Sales Agent Trainee Specialist obtains industry experience working in a sales and customer support role while preparing and training to become a Licensed Insurance Sales Agent. This role attends classroom and hands-on training to assist in the active pursuit of State Property/Casualty and Life and Health Licenses. This role assists customers, completes marketing activities and helps with all office functions under direct guidance of an Agent or Lead Sales Agent.• Completes marketing and sales related activities which further the company’s brand in the local market (outbound marketing calls, car dealerships visits, local events, distribution of flyers, etc)
• Assists customers with general questions, receives customer payments, issues receipts and verifies balance/daily reports of receipts for cash drawers
• Provides general clerical and administrative support to staff including handling inbound and outbound phone calls, reports, filing, researching and gathering information, and maintaining overall appearance of sales office
• Prepares to become a fully licensed agent through attending appropriate courses, self-study, participation in training activities and job shadowing of agents to learn skills and accumulate experience
• Must pass P+C license certification within first 90 days of employment
• Reads and remains current on company guidelines, announcements, memos and bulletins related to company policy and procedure
• Prepares and sends information to customers and lien holders
• Contacts customers regarding account status and renewals
• High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
• 0-2 years experience (Preferred)
• This job does not have supervisory duties.
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $14.67 - 18.33 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.At National General, great things happen when our people work together.
